Unless otherwise indicated, you may contact the Fellowship and Outreach Committee at fellowship@fmcquaker.org for further details.

After Sunday morning meeting for worship, those gathered at on-site at Friends Meeting for Cambridge have an opportunity to meet for a time of fellowship in the Meetinghouse, outside on the FMC grounds or in the Friends Center Library or Parlor.
As we slowly transition back to our traditional Fellowship Hour in the Friends Room, we will occasionally offer light refreshments outside weather permitting. Please consume all food and beverages except water outside.

To sign up to help occasionally with outdoor refreshments, please contact Daria Casinelli / Holly Lapp at fellowship@fmcquaker.org

The Fellowship and Outreach Committee, often in conjunction with another committee of concern, offers All Meeting Retreats off-site in the fall and spring. Members and attenders of all ages and backgrounds come together to enhance their bonds and attention to spirituality. There is usually a children’s program in addition to adult activities. Scholarships are available.
These have been suspended temporarily due to COVID 19 restrictions. Watch for an announcement of the next all meeting retreat!

Women’s Silent Retreat Group offers retreats during the year for a limited number of women. The description for the most recent retreat in April 2022 says:

“We gather at Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham for a weekend of reflection and fellowship, We begin Friday evening with an opening circle, where each of us says what we are bringing to the retreat, spiritually, emotionally, materially, whatever. Then we go into worship and are silent until the end of worship on Sunday morning, when we have closing circle, to speak of what transpired for us during the retreat. In between we have worship, we eat together in silence, we smile at each other and laugh, passing each other in the hall, or the kitchen. We sit and read in the library, go for walks, sit in our own rooms to meditate or journal or read or knit, whatever. There is warm fellowship even though we are not speaking.”
